BrowserClaw Extension for Claude Desktop Privacy Policy

This privacy notice is to let you know how the BrowserClaw extension for Claude Desktop handles your data.

The extension is a small helper that lets Claude Desktop use BrowserClaw on your machine. It doesn't collect any information about you, doesn't send anything to us, and doesn't talk to any service on the internet. Its only job is to pass Claude Desktop's requests to BrowserClaw and BrowserClaw's replies back to Claude Desktop, both running on the same computer.

What this notice covers

This notice covers the BrowserClaw extension for Claude Desktop, which you install into Claude Desktop so that Claude can use BrowserClaw as its browser.

The extension is one piece of a three-part picture, and each piece has its own privacy policy. For the browser part, see the BrowserClaw Privacy Policy. For the Claude Desktop part, see Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

What the extension does

When Claude wants to open a page, click a button, or read something in a browser, Claude Desktop asks the extension to do it. The extension then asks BrowserClaw, which does the actual work in your browser, and passes the result back to Claude Desktop. Nothing more.

Everything happens on your computer. The extension does not connect to any BrowserOS server, any Anthropic server, or any other service on the internet on its own.

What the extension collects

Nothing.

The extension has no analytics, no telemetry, no error reporting, and no user identifiers. It doesn't record what Claude asks for, what BrowserClaw returns, which websites get visited, or anything else. It runs while Claude Desktop is open and stops when Claude Desktop closes; when it stops, it leaves nothing behind.

Where your data actually goes

Because the extension only relays messages, whatever happens while you use it is covered by the policies of the two apps on either side:

• The things Claude sees and does are governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• The browsing, the tabs, the logged-in accounts, and any product usage BrowserClaw records are governed by the BrowserClaw Privacy Policy.

The extension itself is invisible in this picture. It has no say in what those two policies allow.

Data retention

The extension doesn't hold on to any data, so there is nothing to retain, nothing to export, and nothing to delete on our side.

Your rights

Under data protection regulation, you have:

• The right to be informed about the collection and use of your personal data
• The right to access the personal data we hold about you via a Subject Access Request
• The right to correct inaccurate personal data
• The right to have your personal data deleted
• The right to request restriction or suppression of your personal data
• The right to object to the processing of your personal data in some circumstances

Since the extension collects and stores nothing about you, these rights are satisfied by default.

Making a complaint

You have the right to complain to us and to the data protection regulator. If you are a California resident, you may contact the California Privacy Protection Agency. For users in other states, you may contact your state's Attorney General's office. You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) if you feel your privacy rights have been violated.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational or legal reasons. If a future change starts collecting data through the extension, we will call it out in the release notes for that version. Updated versions of this policy will be posted on this page.
